Osinbajo decorates, congratulates new IGP
The Vice-President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, has decorated the Acting Inspector- General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, with his new rank.
Baba, who took over from Mohammed Adamu, Tuesday, was on Wednesday, decorated with the new rank today in Abuja.
In a tweet, Professor Osinbajo, enthused that it was an honour for him to decorate the new IGP whom he thereafter congratulated.
“Congratulations to the new Acting Inspector General of the Nigerian Police Force, Usman Alkali Baba, who I had the honour of decorating earlier today.
“The safety and protection of all Nigerians remains a priority of President @MBuhari’s administration” Osinbajo said in his tweet.
