People’s Forum celebrates  20 years of publishing excellence

The Eyewitness reporter
Hynek Media Enterprises, publishers of  People’s Forum Online and magazine will celebrate its 20 years of unbroken publishing with pomp and pageantry on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at the popular Rockview Hotel, Apapa, Lagos.
In April 2004, the company began the publishing of a maritime-based newspaper titled “Maritime Forum”.
The quest to include other sectors of the economy in the well-packaged newspaper necessitated a name change to “National Forum” in 2006.
As the editors tried to repackage both its aesthetics and editorial contents, the name of the newspaper was changed to “The Forum” in 2007.
In 2008, the newspaper’s name was again changed to ”People’s Forum” to accommodate more segments of the day-to-day human activities.
Since then,  the newspaper has been growing by leaps and bounds.
However, in 2020 after the COVID-19 lockdown, the format of the newspaper was changed to that of a magazine even as it went online.
By the end of March, this year, it would be 20 years that Hynek Media Enterprises has been publishing and disseminating maritime and general news to the reading public.
The company intends to celebrate the 20th anniversary of this unbroken publishing.
As part of the anniversary, a national business summit with the theme “Business Transactions and Rising Costs: The Way Out” will hold along with the conferment of the prestigious People’s Forum-powered National Evergreen Merit Awards (NEMMA) to 20 distinguished individuals and 20 corporate bodies that are weathering the storm and contributing immensely to Nigeria’s economic development.
Dignitaries from all walks of life from within and outside the shores of the country are expected to grace the grand occasion.
