Dantsoho, NPA MD, assures Dangote of FG readiness to deepen Crude-for- naira initiative for enhanced efficiency

The Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority(NPA), Dr Abubakar Dantsoho, has reiterated the commitment of the agency to deepen the efficiency of Dangote Refinery through the Federal government initiative of Crude-for- naira which implementation is rooted in the one- stop- shop programme domiciled in the NPA.
Dr Dantsoho, made the pledge during his visit to the Refinery on Sunday, May,25th, 2025.
He emphasized the NPA’s commitment to providing comprehensive support to maximize the growth and national prosperity opportunities which Dangote Refinery and the granulated urea fertilizer complex offer.T

The NPA boss observed that the refinery and fertilizer complex have become pivotal hubs for advancing Nigeria’s goals of self-sufficiency in energy security and agricultural development.
He stated that the NPA was playing a central role in facilitating their success.
He said the Crude-for- naira initiative of the federal government which implementation is coordinated by the NPA, is a bold testament to the potential of collaboration and determination of government to support Dangote Refinery.
He therefore commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for this initiative and lauded the guidance of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola in this regard.
Dantsoho further praised the initiative for streamlining processes and enhancing operational efficiency which he said aligned with NPA’s strategic objectives to boost trade and economic growth.

He further assured Dangote, the President of Dangote Refinery, of the unweaving support of Oyetola and the commitment of NPA to deepening the efficiencies of the One-Stop-Shop, ensuring seamless operations and sustained partnership to drive Nigeria’s economic and industrial aspirations forward.
