Scam in ivory towers: NUC exposes fake universities in Nigeria

Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) has recently exposed over 50 fake universities across the country.
The list includes the following institutions:

In addition to the closure, the NUC has also begun further investigations and court actions against the following Degree Mills:
– National University of Nigeria, Keffi, Nasarawa State
– North Central University, Otukpo. Benue State
– Christ Alive Christian Seminary and University, Enugu
– Richmond Open University
Illegal institutions are operating in Nigeria and defrauding unsuspecting students of their money and time.
Prospective students and parents are advised to check with the NUC to verify the legitimacy of any university before enrolling.
