Presidency rates NIMASA top in digital transformation , honours Jamoh for exemplary leadership
The Presidency through the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, BPSR, has declared the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency NIMASA as the best Federal Government Agency in Digital Transformation.
The BPSR also announced that the awards were a result of a nationwide nomination and online voting process initiated by the Bureau, as well as a detailed analysis of the performance of all government MDAs at the national level.
The award presentation is scheduled to take place in the nation’s federal capital in October this year.
NIMASA Director General, Dr Bashir Jamoh OFR, expressed pleasure and assured of the Agency’s commitment to full operational digitalization.
“This award is a pleasant surprise. We weren’t expecting it. We were just doing our job. This award will spur us to accelerate our quest to fully digitalize all NIMASA operations.”

Navy appoints new Maritime Guard Commander for NIMASA
Commodore Adoki, a principal Warfare Officer specializing in communication and intelligence, brings onboard 25 years experience in the Nigerian Navy covering training, staff and operations.
Welcoming the new MGC Commander to the Agency, the Director General, Dr Dayo Mobereola, expressed confidence in Adoki’s addition to the team, emphasising that it will further strengthen the nation’s maritime security architecture given his vast experience in the industry.
The Maritime Guard Command domiciled in NIMASA was established as part of the resolutions of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Nigerian Navy to assist NIMASA strengthen operational efficiency in Nigeria’s territorial waters, especially through enforcement of security, safety and other maritime regulations.
